Good Morning Raintree Friends and Family,
I hope this e-mail finds you doing well. I recognize that for some that is not the case—we do live in a fallen world. It is my prayer that the LORD is your strength for those that are experiencing difficulty.
Pray for Roberta Carman
One of those families experiencing difficulty is the Carman family. Charles served Raintree as Senior minister for almost 30 years. Charles and Roberta continue to bless this church in countless ways.
Our hearts hurt as our sister Roberta continues to struggle in the ICU at Covenant. We are praying for her kidney function to return and her respiratory system to improve. Add to that an infection in her blood and she is in a dire condition. Please be in prayer to the God that inspired the following in Psalm 103:3-4 “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.”

I look forward to seeing you all this Sunday as we discuss the redemption that is ours in Christ. I am excited to return to the pulpit this Sunday. Thanks to Sheldon for doing a fantastic job preaching for me in the last three weeks.
This Sunday we begin our new sermon series entitled “Redefining Reality.” During this series we will look at how Reality TV serves as a powerful metaphor for the Christian life. We will be discussing some very important theological principles (with the help of the reality TV shows) in a refreshing way. Be sure to invite your friends to join us!
